Author Guidelines

Authors should follow the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association's most current edition. All manuscripts should be submitted as Word Documents.

Title Page: Author name(s) with affiliations and contact information.

The body of the manuscript should contain a running head with no author identification.

First page place the Abstract followed by Key Words for indexing.

Please indicate if you are an author with English as your second language above the Title of the Manuscript on the Abstract Page.

It is up to the author(s)  to obtain permissions for copyright material contained within the manuscript.

References, Figures, and Appendices should adhere to APA guidelines

Headings Arial Font size 12 Bold

Subheadings Arial Font size 12 Bold

All articles should begin with an Introduction Paragraph or Page(s) and have a Conclusion Section. APA formatting does not use a formal "Introduction" heading. It is assumed the first page is the introduction.

Headings for Research should contain an Introduction Paragraph or Page(s), Methods, Results, & Conclusion Sections as well as other subheadings as necessary.

Arial, Font size 12, single spaced paragraph

Abstracts should be from 100 to 250 words.

Manuscripts may be from 1500 to 3000 words.

Tables and charts should be embedded in the article. 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word.
3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text according to APA guidelines.
5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

The International Journal of Nurse Practitioner Educators is an open access journal and authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

a) IJNPE hopes  that authors will not simultaneously publish their work with more than one journal.

b) INJNPE hopes that the manuscript will not have been published elsewhere.

c) IJNPE iunderstands that the abstract or some of the information contained within the manuscript may have been presented and published at conferences prior to publication with the IJNPE.
