Partnerships recognizes that successful engaged learning depends on effective partnerships between students, faculty, community agencies, administrators, disciplines, and more. The articles in this peer-reviewed journal focus on how theories and practices can inform and improve such partnerships, connections, and collaborations. Studies co-authored by faculty, students, and/or community partners; or examining practices across disciplines or campuses; or exploring international networks, are all encouraged.

We regret to announce that Partnerships: A Journal of Service-Learning and Civic Engagement, NC Campus Compact's peer-reviewed online journal, has ceased publication with the Spring 2020 issue. Since launching in 2009, Partnerships has contributed greatly to the higher education service-learning and community engagement field - nationally and internationally - by producing articles demonstrating how theories and practices can inform and improve partnerships, connections, and collaborations between students, faculty, community agencies, administrators, disciplines, and more. However, after an in-depth review of NC Campus Compact programs and initiatives, by staff and the Advisory Council, it was determined that Partnerships funding would be redirected to promoting the scholarship of engagement in North Carolina through initiatives focused specifically on North Carolina colleges and universities. |
